The 2022 Summer Fun Run is just around the corner. One thing’s for sure…you’re going to have an awesome experience touring 14 different parks and trails in beautiful Hendricks County. But you might still have a few questions about the logistics. Don’t fret, we’ve got you covered.

Follow the simple instructions below, then be on your way to staying active, supporting our parks, and enjoying the stunning scenery through our community.

Step 1: Register Online

Registration is easy, thanks to our friends at RaceMaker Productions. Use this link to sign up for just $35 or your family of four for $100. Your race registration includes access to 14 marked courses in Hendricks County, email updates, an official Summer Fun Run t-shirt, and a limited edition 2022 Finisher’s Sticker.

Step 2: Check Your Email

After you register, you’ll receive an email with instructions for that week’s featured park or trail. Your email will include information like where to park, where to locate the restrooms, and a map of the course, which will be marked with plenty of directional signage to keep you on track. Be sure to check your email inbox each Tuesday throughout the summer. Signage will always be taken down on Tuesday morning and set up on the new course by Tuesday evening. To guarantee directional signage, plan your run or walk Wednesday through Monday, or chance it on transition Tuesday!

Step 3: Plan Your Run or Walk

One of the best things about the Summer Fun Run & Walk Series is the convince and flexibility to go on your schedule. Remember, our parks and trails are open from dawn to dusk, so give yourself plenty of time to complete the course before it gets dark. You can always visit the race sign-up page and click on the “park courses” dropdown to see all the maps.

Step 4: Document Your Accomplishment

Hey, you got out there and put in those miles…you might as well tell everyone! You will record your own time and each week you will text it to us (instructions will be in weekly email). Then you will want to tell everyone you know by sharing your photos on social media. Be sure to take lots of pictures and tag the Parks Foundation of Hendricks County on Facebook and Instagram (@hcparksfoundation). You can also email your photos to pfohcevents@gmail.com.

Step 5: Get Excited All Over Again

Think about it. Every week will be like Christmas, with a new park or trail to discover. If you have any questions, The Parks Foundation of Hendricks County is here to help. Just email pfohcevents@gmail.com, and we will be happy to assist you.

If you still have questions, you may also visit the Summer Fun Run page on the PFOHC website. Here you’ll find a Frequently Asked Questions document, a printable version of the weekly race schedule, and more info about how your participation supports parks and trails in Hendricks County.
