Did you know there are 8 different park departments in Hendricks County? As the Parks Foundation, we partner with them all in different ways to fit their community’s needs. One way is hosting a master calendar to find all park events/programs in one place.
You may also find programs from other park partners that support our mission in some way. If you host community events and would like to get on our calendar email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
When you find an event or program you want to attend please double-check with the park host before showing up. Sometimes details get changed or we make small mistakes when entering the information. To be on the safe side, always check. You can find the host department in every calendar listings for your convenience.
Have fun at our parks!
Campers will spend most of their time outdoors if weather permits. Each week will have a nature theme with plenty of outdoor activities such as challenges on our low ropes obstacle course, gaga ball, carpet ball, 9 square in the air, campfires, visits from our park naturalist with animal friends, cooking, crafts, sports and lots more! See below for more information on scheduled activities.
Structure and planning are very important but we also believe in letting the kids use their imagination. If the kids come up with a fun and safe activity that the counselors agree on……. we are doing it! As parents ourselves, we believe that the kids are structured and scheduled all school year long. The camp is a place to explore, imagine and be a kid. In a world of technology, there is nothing wrong with just being a kid.
