Nothing but Smiles and Miles: 2024 Summer Fun Run & Walk Series Kickoff!

We couldn’t have asked for a better day to kick off the 2024 Summer Fun Run & Walk Series presented by Hendricks Regional Health! Around 400 participants showed up to walk, run, and have a great time along the 2-mile route at W.S. Gibbs Memorial Park!

The weather was perfect–sunny with just the right amount of cloud cover and a gentle breeze to keep us all cool. A huge thank you to our sponsor of the week, Banning Engineering, for helping make this week’s event possible.

The smoothie bike from Purdue Extension – Hendricks County had everyone pedaling away to a delicious reward! Two Chicks Whisky Business and Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee Truck served up the sweetest treats, while DJ Dave Hatfield kept the vibes high with great music. Speaking of favorites, Terri the turtle from Hendricks County Parks & Recreation was a big hit with the kids. Hendricks Regional Health was there to provide free CPR demonstrations and other goodies. And let’s not forget the t-shirts and stickers made by Rose Promos that helped participants celebrate Hendricks County’s bicentennial in style!
