Celebrating our 2025 Grant Recipients!
Every trail connection, outdoor classroom, and sensory-friendly feature starts with a vision—and the support to make it possible. That’s why the Parks Foundation of Hendricks County is proud to award $40,712.25 in grants this year to projects that bring parks to life in new and meaningful ways.
At our 2025 Grant Reception, we celebrated the local parks and trails who are making these visions a reality across Hendricks County. These projects reflect what makes our parks so special: they’re designed for everyone, driven by community needs, and made possible through your generosity.
This year’s grant-funded projects include:
B&O Trail Association: A connecting bridge near the Maplewood area to improve trail access for walkers, runners, and cyclists.
Brownsburg Parks & Recreation: A nature play and learn outdoor classroom at Williams Park, encouraging curiosity and creativity for young explorers.
Central Indiana Land Trust: Native seed restoration using Virginia wild rye along the Vandalia Trail, helping to reforest and strengthen our local ecosystems.
Danville Parks & Recreation: Lifeguard training equipment for the Gill Family Aquatic Center at Ellis Park to promote safety and readiness.
Hendricks County Parks & Recreation: A new sound garden at W.S. Gibbs Memorial Park to support sensory and creative play for all ages and abilities.
Washington Township Parks & Recreation: An archery range and equipment at Pecar Nature Park, expanding outdoor recreation opportunities for visitors.
These projects are designed for everyone, driven by community needs, and made possible by donors like you. We especially want to thank our partner the Hendricks County Community Foundation for their support!
Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate this year’s recipients—and to everyone who continues to champion the power of parks!
